Information Technology Information technology, in short known as IT, is the support, implementation, development, design, management and study of information systems. Information technology is just a general term use to describe any technologies that communicate, store, manipulate, disseminate and produce information.
In Polytechnic, there are information technology course that cater to students who are interested in learning more in this area. In Information technology, students will be trained and prepared to be work, life and world ready. In other words, Information technology train and develop students’ potential academically and professionally.
In information technology, students will learn strong foundation in communication skills, problem solving techniques and infocomm skills. Students will also have a chance to choose what area they want to specialize in, ranging from options like enterprise systems, hospitality and tourism, game development to information system.
In the final year of Information technology, they will be doing real life industry projects that are related to their specialization and also their student internship which will be either attached to local or overseas company. All this will bring them experiences that will be very useful and much needed when they graduated and for their future job.
Upon graduation, they can work as an information technology support personnel, information systems officer, web developer, consultant, analyst and game programmer or even a software engineer. Students need not need to worry that they could not find themselves a job because information technology is so important today and is very much needed in almost all industries . |
