Business Process and System Engineering

Business Process and System Engineering

Business Process and System Engineering is the 2nd largest course in the school of engineering at Temasek Poly, it is widely known as BZE in short. Business Process and System Engineering is actually the first of a kind with the course covering both Business and Engineering fields.

Studies have shown that in working life, employers prefer choosing graduates with more knowledge. As most graduates only focus purely on the field that they are exposed to, it’s either Business or Engineering. Thus, with this golden opportunity of having the upper hand as compared to the rest we should not let this chance slip out of our hands!

Business Process and System Engineering – Job Opportunities

In Business Process and System Engineering, you will be exposed to knowledge from both ends. Possessing the unique ability to integrate business and engineering principles and also being able to filter into both the manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors across all industries, job opportunities await us. This allows us to have a larger choice of jobs varieties to choose, below are some of the examples:

  • Assistant Engineers
  • Quality Assessors
  • Service Quality Officers
  • Technical Buyers
  • Quality Consultants
  • Project Management Executives
  • Customer Accounts Executives
  • Technical Sales Executives
  • Management Systems Executives
  • Quality Management Representatives
  • Training Executives
  • Administrative Officers

Being in this course for the past 3 years and experiencing it first hand, I would say Business Process and System Engineering is a course with many prospects in future. As comparing it to my friends who are in either faculty studying solely on just one field, they are rather limited in terms of variety of knowledge. Yes it’s true that some of our modules are touch and go rather than going in-depth, despite that fact, BZE is still a better choice for the working society as most of the jobs current does not require much of what we learnt in poly but rather it covers a wide range of knowledge. So what are you waiting for? Join us!
